Frequently
Asked Questions
1.
Does the Aquafog Turbo XE produce a mist or a fog?
These systems are certainly considered to be true fogging machines.
Particles over 50 micons have a tendency to settle out of the air as mist.
Aquafogs use centrifugal force to atomize liquid into ultra-fine particles
averaging 25 micons in size. Systems are equipped with a flow control
valve for adjustment of fog output. This feature also allows the operator
to reduce particle size even further if desired.
2.
How much water pressure do I need?
Aquafog units do not require any high pressure pumps. An ordinary
water supply is more than adequate and pressure can be as low as 5 psi.
Units can also be gravity fed for occasional application of chemicals.
3.
Will the Aquafog units be reliable using my water supply?
Aquafog units are a self-flushing and nozzle-free system that
does not require small orifices to produce a high quality fog. In most
cases no filtration is necessary. In fact, Aquafog units can accept ordinary
water supplies, such as city, well and even pond water without incurring
any clogs. Even well water supplies with high concentrations of calcium
rarely present clogging problems.
4.
What is the difference between the Aquafog Turbo XE Fans and the RSMs?
The hanging fan units cover the widest range of applications
and can fulfill most customers' needs. The Aquafog RSM line is more specifically
designed for certain applications.
5.
Can I install this unit myself?
In most cases, yes with the availability of common hand tools
and basic mechanical knowledge. Aquafog Turbo
XE units are designed and packaged with consumer installation in
mind.
6.
What do I need for a complete system?
For manual operation, a P-1 Watertight Plug and a W-1 Water
Hose Connector are recommended to complete a fan installation. A variety
of control packages are available to fully automate systems, depending
on individual needs. Units can also be adapted to computerized controls
with the addition of electrical relays for power and water supplies.
7.
Do you have any experience shipping overseas?
Yes, currently 40% of our sales are exports. Jaybird has been
exporting equipment for over 20 years and has acquired the specialized
knowledge needed to ensure efficient service and prompt delivery for our
overseas customers.
8.
How long would it take to have my order shipped?
Generally, orders are shipped quickly within 24 hours. Large or customized
orders may require a few additional days. Fan units can be shipped by
UPS and RSMs are shipped using common carrier. Overseas orders are normally
shipped by air.
9.
Is there a warranty on the unit?
All of our fogging units and accessories are covered by a one-year
limited warranty.
