Aquafog 700 Installation Tips

Placement Guidelines

DO: Mount the fan high overhead. Allow room in front and below the fan for the unobstructed propulsion of fog. Rule of thumb: the higher the better! But leave at least one foot from any roofing structures. Set benchtop units up high and (or) angle the fogging head upward about 15 - 20 degree angle.

DO: Mount the fan at the intake end of a ventilated structure. In structures with mild to no ventilation, equally space out the units and propel fog the length of the structure.

DO NOT: Mount the fan near the ground underneath tables or benches.

DO NOT: Propel the fog into the wind (direction of airflow).

DO NOT: Cramp the fan in tight quarters or skinny aisle ways.

Layout Guidelines

Small structures

In applications requiring only one fan, mount the fan high, centered along one wall, with fog propelling horizontally along the length of the structure. If there is ventilation, choose the intake end of the structure. The best location for automated controls is behind the fan, at an easily accessible level for monitoring.

Large structures

Equally space the fans within the structure. Coverage capability will largely depend on the distance between the fans. Lower humidity and/or cooling requirements can allow for greater distance between fans. Usually the maximum distance between fans would be 24’ x 40’.
If the structure has forced ventilation, shift the layout group of fans closer towards the intake end, by 8 to 10’. The fans should always be propelling their fog with the direction of air flow.
